This is one of my favourite fight scenes in all of cinema! I’ve watched it and rewatched it dozens of times over the years. I first watched this first Sherlock movie when I was a kid, and I enjoyed it immensely. It’s definitely not without its flaws, and we all know how much of a hit or miss Guy Ritchie flicks are, but I have great memories with this film. I enjoyed the second one as well.
Yanno? As a complete Sherlockian nerd, I actually enjoyed the Ritchie flicks. They were fun and bouncy and they nailed parts of the character that the other adaptations tend to miss.

I love this so much. Would the bare knuckle boxing match w Brad Pitt in snatch work?
Or some fighting in princess bride
I’ll keep thinking
Wait which bare knuckle fight w Brad Pitt in Snatch? Or should I do a dual analysis of both, since they’re a bookend to the arc of the story?
O yeah! I haven’t seen Snatch in a while--that’d be a fun one to cover. And yes of course the epic swordfight in Princess Bride at least is essential.
