Okay my feisty followers, it’s that week between Christmas and New Year’s when all my brain can manage to do correctly is find where in my mom-in-law’s fridge the rest of the cheese is kept. And which wine goes best with early afternoon frozen bird-watching. And so. In lieu of creating a full vocab word piece for you today, as is my regular Friday wont, I thought I’d give you an opportunity to engage in a little audience participation.
As you’ll have already noticed, each Friday on Zuko’s Musings is vocab word day, where the unhinged personal essay of the day centers around a strange, unusual, or just fun word. Often I’ll veer crazily into tangents and such, but overall the word is the prompt that keeps Friday posts going.
I do have a small collection gathered of words I’ve found interesting recently—I like to save them when I come across them during my webby meanderings. I *think* I have an idea which one I want to do next, but I’m not sure. So. I‘m a let you all choose for me. Pick from my little collection in the poll below, and I’ll get a piece on that word published for ya before Popination Monday comes upon us, and our schedule returns to normal. Cool? Cool. Oh, and! I’m not gonna go into the definitions of these or why I’m considering them, etc. If you’re curious, look em up yerselves, or just choose based on melopoeia. Nothing wrong with that. Here ya go:
I am constantly amazed that you find words that I don't already know, and presumably that's true for most of your readers. (Or I draw the short stick of diction, eh?)
