Fight Clip Club: Serenity

I can kill you with my brain. (but also? my high kicks)

I know, I know, I’ve done a Firefly fight already in Fight Clip Club, but this is the movie, not the TV series, and hang on just let me explain:

Since I did that fight scene from a ballet last week, it got me to thinking about my favorite fight scenes that are dancelike or dance-related, if not actual abstract dances. Summer Glau (who’s our main fight actor here) is mainly a dancer by training, so I immediately thought of this well-known (well, in geek culture anyway) extended fight scene from the otherwise disappointing movie that concluded the wonderful TV show too quickly and with too many neat and/or deadly little bows.

I’m not going to get into why I think Serenity was a disappointing, if fun, watch–that’s more a task for my writing teacher self and doesn’t belong here in Fight Clip Club. But we can look at this fight scene, yeah? Go watch it and I’ll get into it after the paywall. And be careful you don’t say ‘Miranda.’
