Fight Clip Club: Random Movement pic(s)
Another trio of images to enjoy.
This week is the graduation of my elder stepgremlin, and as such, I’ll be Otherwise Occupied (tm) the rest of the week with family, celebrations, and various and sundry things of that nature. So this week’s FCC is another RMP, and not paywalled. But never fear! I actually got a great idea for a fight to analyze next week—it’s going to be so fun.
This week’s Movement Pic is actually three, of three different groups of actors portraying the same scene. Back at the end of my undergrad degrees in the mid-’90s, I adapted three Dr. Seuss stories into dramatic form, and the following year I added two more to that to make a nimble show consisting of 5 Seussian confections. I performed them twice with my own theatre company, Five Funny Faces, and then once I taught stage movement classes at the college level, I started having my students perform these as their final exam for that class. And so! Here’s three versions of the climactic scene in Yertle the Turtle. See the captions for who and when they are.
