Usually, I cover only fight scenes that I’m very familiar with, or at the very least are from movies that I’ve seen or know well. But I really wanted to cover an Irish fight scene this week in anticipation of St. Paddy’s Day, and so I had to choose this one. It’s a very classic bit o’ Irish boxing, and I like it very much.
To be fair to myself, I do know the premise of the movie, and I did watch the first part of it, so I’m not rushing in on this fight completely clueless. And I always enjoy a good bit of 1800s fisticuffs. So what could I possibly say about this fight, you may be asking, being an expert at theatrical combat but not this movie?
